BRIXHAM COASTLINE (walking tour)
Brixhams’ relationship with the sea is populated with tragedies, catastrophes and disasters but out of these heroes, heroines and hope always emerged. Brixhams’ ability to “bounce back” is embraced in this ½ day walking tour. We’ll “walk out” into Torbay itself via the Brixham breakwater, learn the history behind the Brixham Angels and Brixhams’ lifeboat and be captivated by the iconic Victorian Lido. Primeministers, hymn writers and royalty all have a say in this diverse coastal experience, you’ll connect with nature, industrial scale mining and our unique lighthouse once through the entrance of the Napoleonic fortress on Berry Head, and be engrossed by stunning scenery and views as we hug the English Rivera coastline. The walk concludes in shouting distance of the award winning eatery The Guard House Café (not included) where an afternoon tea may be appropriate.
