Down the peninsula to Botallack mine, here you will appreciate the dangers of mining, the horrendous conditions, how lives were cut short but how mining was always a thing of pride and brotherhood. Onto Minack, the spectacular cliff side, open air theatre. Learn of one womans’ vision and commitment to this unique concept. Around the corner lies Porthcurno, “one of the worlds most beautiful beaches” and the secrets that lie beneath it Then onto Mousehole, the magical fishing village steeped in history, tragedy and the will to survive. Through the holiday town of Penzance we finish at Saint Michaels Mount, this mesmerising isle, accessed by a granite causeway is an appropriate way to finish the day.

Top tip: Wear walking boots or walking shoes, there are a couple of “off road” steep gradients on each walk. Always be prepared for rain.
